How will classes be held? (Paano makapagkaklase and mga mag-aaral?)
Students will not physically report to school. Classes will be held through distance or online learning until the situation improves. Gradually, with the permit of the proper authority and observance of prescribed protocols, blended learning may be held.
(Sila ay hindi pupunta sa SMCB. Ang klase ay gaganapin online o hangga’t hindi pa pwedeng pumunta sa paaralan. Kapag bumuti na ang sitwasyon, may pahintulot ng kinauukulan at susundin ang mga dapat gawin, pwede na ang blended learning.)
What is blended learning? (Ano ba ang blended learning?)
Blended learning refers to an educational approach that combines online teaching and traditional classroom methods.
(Ang blended learning ay isang paraan ng pagkatuto kung saan pinaghalo ang online at tradisyunal na pagtuturo sa silid-aralan.)
How prepared is SMCB for online instruction? Does the school have Learning Continuity Plan (LCP)? (Gaano kahanda and SMCB sa pagtuturo online? Meron ba kayong Learning Continuity Plan?)
SMCB has a Resiliency and Sustainability Plan to ensure that we are prepared and ready with action plans to address the impact and possible risks that may occur during and after the pandemic.

How will the first day of classes be done? How will my child get to know his/her teacher? (Paano gaganapin ang unang araw ng klase? Paano makikilala ng aking anak and kanyang guro?)
Virtual orientation session with parents will be done before classes begin. Online Orientation with class advisers will be held on the first day of classes to acquaint them with all the guidelines, precautionary measures, and other academic matters. Printed copies will also be available.
(Bago magbukas ang klase, ang mga magulang ay pupulungin online upang bigyan kaalaman sila kung ano ang gagawin. Sa unang araw ng pasukan, ang mga mag-aaral at kanilang gurong tagapayo ay magkikita online. Siya ay magbibigay ng panuntunan at iba pang kaalaman ukol sa gagawing pag-aaral gamit ang internet. How will the schedule of online classes be? Will my child be online the whole day? (Paano ang schedule ng online classes? Maghapon bang naka-online ang aking anak?)
Schedule is modified without compromising the minimum requirements of DepEd. There will be time allotted for online session and independent learning especially for higher grades.
(Hindi. May oras lamang para sa pagtuturo online at may oras para sa pag-aaral sa bahay.)
The teacher’s personal interaction with students is still the best way my child can learn. How do you intend to replace this? (Mahalaga ang personal na interaksyon ng guro sa kanyang mga mag-aaral. Ito para sa akin ang pinakamainam na paraan para matuto ang aking anak. Paano n’yo ito magagawa?)
The health and total well-being of your child is our number one priority. While face -to -face classes can’t be conducted, the best option to ensure that is through distance learning and other flexible delivery modes. The teachers are readily available to answer students’ questions.
(Sa kasalukuyang panahon, ang kalusugan at kapakanan ng inyong anak ang pinakamahalaga. Hangga’t di pa maaring sila ay magklase sa paaralan, pinakaligtas na ang online learning at iba pang paraan ng pagtuturo at pagkatuto. Ang mga guro naman ay maaring tawagan o imensahe kung may katanungan.)
How will TLE and PE classes be held? (Paano magkaklase sa TLE at PE?)
Performance tasks will be held face- to -face in the 2nd semester if the situation and the authority permit; if not, vlogs and other social media platforms may be used.
(Ang mga gawain upang ipakita and natutunan ay gaganapin sa ikalawang semester, kung papayagan ng DepEd; kung hindi pa pwede, maaaring ipakita ang natutunan sa pamamagitan ng video (vlog), gamit ang iba pang lunsaran sa social media.)
What is learning Management System (LMS)? (Ano ang Learning Management System o LMS?)
It is a software application for the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting, automation and delivery of instruction. It facilitates e-learning that allows students to study anytime, anywhere.
The school’s LMS is in collaboration with Phoenix Aralinks which effectively integrates technology into the curriculum, extending learning in powerful ways. Bringing together the dynamic and effective synthesis of pedagogy, technology, and learning spaces, Aralinks helps create active, flexible, and collaborative learning environments where students develop the skills they need for work and for life.
(Ang LMS ay isang software application para sa pamamahala, pagtatala, pagsubaybay, at paghahatid ng mga aralin. Sa pamamagitan nito naisasagawa ang e-learning kung saan gamit ang computer at internet, pwedeng makapag-aral kahit anong oras, kahit saan.
Ang LMS ng SMCB ay hatid ng Phoenix Aralinks na mag-uugnay ng teknolohiya sa kurikulum, para sa mainam na pamamaraan sa pagkatuto ng mga mag-aaral. Sa pagsasama ng karunungan sa pagtuturo, teknolohiya at lunsaran nito, ang Aralinks ang magiging daan tungo sa malikhain at mabisang paraan ng pag-aaral at paglinang sa mga kasanayang kailangan sa trabaho at sa buhay.)
What if we don’t have internet connectivity in the house? How will you address this? (Paano kung wala kaming internet sa bahay?)
Contract Activity Packages (CAPs) and other learning kits and texts shall be used. Students shall be contacted by email or phone as needed.
(May iba pang paraan ng pagkatuto tulad ng Contract Activity Package (CAP) at mga araling modyular ang maaring gamitin. Kung kinakailangan, ang mga mag-aaral ay tatawagan sa telepono o padadalhan ng email.)
What is Contract Activity Package (CAP)? (Ano ba ang CAP?)
CAP is a learning material that allows a student to do independent study. It also provides options for students to learn a lesson through their preferred learning style.
(Ang CAP ay isang gamit sa pagtuturo kung saan ang estudyante ay matututong mag-aral nang sarili. Bibigyan sya ng pagpipiliang paraan gamit ang kanyang sariling kakayahan sa pagkatuto.)
How will you monitor if classes are regularly held even when teachers work from home? (Paano kayo makasisigurong regular na magkaklase ang mga guro kahit sila ay nasa bahay?)
Monitoring will be done through the system established by Aralinks. It will automatically record the daily activities of the students which the teachers prepared. The Principal, Academic and Subject Area Coordinators will also be able to check if online classes are held through the Collaborative Learning Education system.
(Ito ay masusubaybayan sa pamamagitan ng Aralinks. Dito ay nakatala ang pang-araw-araw na gawaing inihanda ng mga guro para sa kanilang mag-aaral. How will the students be assessed and graded? (Paano masusukat ang natutuhan at bibigyan ng marka ang mga mag-aaral?)
We use the same grading system as per DepEd Order #8, s. 2015 with some adjustments if needed.

If permitted, how do you intend to conduct face-to-face classes? (Kung pahihintulutan, paano nyo isasagawa ang face-to-face classes)
Observing all precautionary measures set by IATF and DOH, hybrid classes may be conducted where at a time, there will be 15-20 students only. Classrooms will also be arranged such that social distancing will be observed.
(Alinsunod sa mga itinakdang alituntunin ng IATF at DOH, ang hybrid classes o kumbinasyon ng face-to-face classes at iba pang pinakamabisang pamamaraan ng pagkatuto ay isasagawa kung saan 15 hanggang 20 mag-aaral lamang sa bawat seksyon ang papasok sa paaralan ayon sa itinakdang iskedyul upang maipatupad ang social distancing.)
What if face-to-face instruction is not yet allowed until December or even beyond? (Paano kung hindi pa rin payagang makapunta sa paaralan ang mga mag-aaral sa Disyembre o lagpas pa rito?)
The school will continue conducting classes through the use of flexible learning arrangement which already started when the school year opened.

The Campus Minister will implement an innovative program to address this concern.

How will you monitor if students are attending online mass at least on Sundays? (Paano n’yo masusubaybayan kung ang mga mag-aaral ay nagsisimba pag Linggo?)
The Campus Minister and the Christian Living teachers will host a watch party for live streaming mass and invite the students and personnel to join.

Can SMCB offer homeschooling? (May homeschooling ba ang SMCB?)
Currently, SMCB cannot be a homeschool provider. Getting accredited by DepEd needs more time to apply for permit and licensing.

Will the students be required to have uniform? How about textbooks? (Paano na ang uniporme at aklat ng mga mag-aaral?)
Students will start wearing the uniforms once face- to- face classes are allowed. Textbooks will still be used.
(Ang uniporme ay gagamitin lamang kapag pwede nang pumunta sa paaralan ang mga bata. Kakailanganin pa rin ang mga aklat sa ilang asignatura.)
When is the release of cards and other credentials of students? (Kailan makukuha ang kard at iba pang dokumento ng mga mag-aaral?)

When can we get the things of our child in their classroom? (Kailan namin makukuha ang mga naiwang gamit ng aming mga anak?)
With precautionary measures in place, parents or official guardians may get the things of their child in the homeroom during the scheduled release of report cards.

Can the subjects be lessened this coming school year so that we can focus on other aspects of our child’s development? (Mababawasan ba ang mga subjects ngayong taong ito upang mabigyang pansin namin ang iba pang pangangailangan ng aming anak?)
DepEd issued the revised K-12 curriculum with the Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs). This is the basis of the needed curriculum modifications in coordination with the RVM Educational Ministry Commission.

HEALTH AND SAFETY
What are the health and safety precautionary measures of SMCB? (Anu anong pag-iingat para sa kalusugan at kaligtasan ang gagawin ng SMCB?)

The following measures are in place: 1. Required use of protective gear like face mask or face shield by personnel and students 2. Provision of footbath at the school entrance and sanitation stations in strategic places 3. Regular sanitation of frequently touched surfaces and common areas 4. Non-use of aircon 5. Social distancing in case of face- to- face encounter 6. Limiting the class size to 15 to 20 students only 7. Restricted use of common areas like canteen, playground, auditorium, and other learning facilities if possible; staggered use schedule 8. Utilizing the classrooms during recess and lunch break 9. Staggered breaks and lunchtimes 10. Promoting healthy hygiene practices 11. Conducting daily health checks (temperature screening and/or symptoms checking) of staff and students |
What if somebody among students or staff tests positive of COVID-19? (Paano kung may mag-aaral o kawaning magkaroon ng COVID-19?)
The school administrator shall immediately notify local health officials, staff, and family of any case of COVID-19 while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with the Department of Health directives.

Employee/student concerned should stay home if s/he has been tested positive for or is showing COVID-19 symptoms.

Require employees and students who are sick or who have recently had close contact with a person with COVID-19 to observe a 14-day self-quarantine.

Who will pay for my child’s connectivity cost? (Sino ang magbabayad ng internet na gagamitin ng aking anak?)
The school takes care of the internet usage of the students during face-to-face learning sessions. The parents take care of the internet cost when their children do online learning at home.

Is there going to be a pilot test or dry run of the e-learning mode and system prior to the start of classes? (Magkakaroon ba ng dry run ang e-learning bago magsimula ang klase?)
Yes. SMCB has a Resiliency and Sustainability Plan which includes the pilot testing of e-learning in order to identify its flaws; build its credibility; and assess its feasibility before implementation.
